Adele is more popular than Fifa 16! Singer's 25 album is the UK's biggest-selling home entertainment title of 2015 with almost 2.5m copies sold
Adele's third album, 25, has smashed global records with its chart success and even beat the Fifa 16 computer game to become the UK's biggest-selling home entertainment title of 2015.
The singer, 27, who returned to the scene in November after a four-year hiatus, sold 2,604,850 copies, compared to 2,516,079 for Fifa 16, according to The Independent.
Despite the fact that the album was only released at the end of the year, Adele managed to smash all previous records, whilst helping to drive a four per cent increase in UK music sales, according to the newspaper.
However, the star failed to make the list of top ten most-streamed artists - headed by Ed Sheeran - after refusing to allow 25 to feature on platforms where people could listen to the songs for free.
Streams through services such as Spotify and Apple Music have been counted in the Official Albums Chart since March, with 100 streams equating to one purchase.
The album sold 800,307 copies in its opening week and, by the 29th day, the Someone Like You hitmaker had become the fastest artist ever to smash through the two million sales mark at that rate.
