Africa’s largest street party recorded a major milestone over the weekend as the annual Carnival Calabar staged a 10th successive edition with the usual pomp. Themed “Celebration Time”, the carnival kicked off on Friday, December 26, with the children carnival, while the main event was held on Saturday, December 27.
